Look forward

Sun rises in the morning,
Removes the dark veil of night,
The birds chirp again and start flying,
What a beautiful sight!

It's time to go to work,
My beloved hugs me good-bye,
Two more hugs from two daughters,
Make me forget the shoe-laces to tie.

Moments to laugh to brighten the day,
Moments of sadness to sober me up,
Delicious food cooked by my beloved,
Adds so much to life's brimming cup.

There are achievements to relish,
And failures to reflect on,
All the things we take for granted,
Looking back, so much time is already gone.

All the blessings of God that we enjoy,
Counting them would be simply a waste,
For everything that we have been endowed,
Gives us His mercy and love's taste.

All those days that I did not thank Him,
Sometimes I feel at myself dismay,
Yet, He is so forgiving and understanding,
I can't but look forward to the next day.
